At Nubzz Eyewear, we didn’t set out to make just another pair of sunglasses—we set out to solve a problem that’s been overlooked for far too long. After 20 years as an optometrist, I kept hearing the same frustration from patients: “My glasses hurt behind my ears.”“They don’t sit right when I wear a cap or helmet.” “They never fit my face just right.” I’ve lived that same discomfort—especially with a wider pupillary distance and a big head. So I decided to rethink eyewear from the ground up. What if sunglasses didn’t have to reach behind your ears? What if they could stay secure, feel better, and still look amazing?

That idea became Nubzz. Our first design, The Pit-Bull, was inspired by two things close to my heart: the challenge of finding the right fit—and my love for dogs. With their strong frames, cropped ears, and wide heads, pit bulls are misunderstood, yet loyal and bold. Just like our shades.
